PROBLEM
The old Mastery brand was created with an internal audience in mind and was not fitting for the global audience the externalization of Skillshop would bring about. Additionally, the old brand had an eextensive asset library that the team didn't want to waste. In order to repurpose it, the new brand would have to translate easily from existing creative.
SOLUTION
Refresh the advanced Mastery brand with a global audience in mind while still preserving the building blocks of the old style in order to continue to be able to use the existing asset library. Additionally, being able to differentiate it from the regular brand while still making it feel like they are part of the same Google family.

My role: Designer
For this project, I lead the rebrand from the brainstorming, creating and application I took part in the brainstorming, testing, and creation of the style guide for new Mastery brand. After the branding was finalized, my role was to implement it to Skillshop by creating illustrations and visual content for its courses that would be line with the style. I also overlooked the overall design and layout of the courses to ensure they were on brand.
